Fluids

The above video demonstrates our fluid simulation technologies, both for 3D and 2D applications. It is based on a Lagrangian particle model, similar to Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH), but with a novel constraint based pressure model that results in almost perfectly incompressible fluids, with time steps typically 50-500 times larger than in vanilla SPH.

Consistent fluid model

The constraint fluid model is consistent with all other multiphysics models used in our technologies, including constrained rigid body systems. Viscosity is introduced using either linear forces (for low viscosity) or constraints (for very high viscosity and nearly stiff systems).

Solver

The solver is ideal for parallelization, and the videos below show additional examples running on GPU, typically one millions particles with five frames per second.
