P h u n 2D Physics Sandbox
Phun is an educational, entertaining and somewhat (!) addictive piece of software for playing around in a 2D physics sandbox in a cartoony fashion. Phun was developed by Emil Ernerfeldt in his MSc thesis project at the Department of Computing Science at Umeå university, supervised by Kenneth Bodin, VRlab/HPC2N. Phun was developed for the science center, Umevatoriet, in Umeå, but on the Internet it has also found its way to a much, much larger audience.
Phun at Intel Developer's Forum 2008
Phun was demonstrated in the keynote speech by Craig R. Barrett, Intel's chairman of the board, at Intel Developer's Forum 2008 in San Francisco on Aug 19. The demonstration was performed by Johnny Chung Lee using a large monitor and Johnny's famous Wiimote based tracking device. The demonstration can be seen ~ 23 minutes into the webcast from the speech (search for Craig R. Barrett in the right column) or in this clip of Johnny Lee at Youtube. The original Phun video at Youtube
