Algoryx selected to develop nextgen vehicle simulation platform

Algoryx Simulation, the leading global provider of interactive physics simulations solutions has entered a collaboration with Scania, Volvo Cars, Modelon and Umeå University, to develop a nextgen vehicle simulation platform.

The project, Virtual Bus & Truck, runs over three years and has a total budget of 36 MSEK (3.75 MEURO). It is co-funded by the industry and a grant from the Swedish Energy Agency and the strategic automotive research and innovation program, FFI.

The goal of the project is to develop a flexible and open platform for full system simulation of vehicle systems, so that the product development can be almost completely digitized. Simulation enables the industry to be more innovative and to develop vehicles that are friendlier to the environment, safer, and overall more competitive in the market. The platform will utilize open protocols and interfaces for co-simulation of many interactive components and novel technologies for strongly coupled systems that will enable interactive and realtime simulation performance.
